Since 2005, the Toronto Film Challenge has been providing amateur and professional filmmakers three yearly opportunities to flex their creative brawn and to tickle the fancies of Toronto's famous film-loving fanatics.
The Toronto Film Challenge dares our contestants to write, shoot, cut and deliver a short film, in the span of either a 24 or 48 hour challenge. With little more than their wits, a few gallons of coffee, and their trusty Challenge Packs, our fearless filmmakers lay it all on the line to capture thousands of dollars in prizes and the bragging rights of being named Toronto Film Challenge Champion.
Each year, our Spring 24, Summer 48, and Fall 24 hour challenges attract generous sponsors, local and national media coverage, and thousands to the screenings, all to promote Canadian independent short film. Whether you're a filmmaker or film-lover, you'll find something to love in every Toronto Film Challenge. So join us for our next Challenge, and find out what's really possible when you have a great idea and only one weekend to bring it all to life.
To showcase sale worthy and entertaining short films within the film industry, and throughout the public domain, by providing filmmakers an outlet for their creativity, knowledge, and technical know-how.
